The pressure holding valve is mainly used to ensure the minimum water supply pressure upstream of the main valve, and is suitable for maintaining the minimum (fire extinguishing) water supply force of urban main pipes to prevent excessive pumping by branch pipe users. The pressure relief valve is mainly installed in the drainage bypass to ensure that the upstream of the main valve is below the safety value set by the pilot valve, preventing damage to the pipeline and equipment caused by high or sudden high pressure in the pipeline.

1、 Pressure relief valveOverpressure relief valveWhen adjusting to a pressure holding valve: When the upstream pressure of the main valve is lower than the set value of the pilot valve 12, the pilot valve closes to increase the surface pressure of the main valve diaphragm, and the main valve closes or closes; When the upstream pressure of the main valve increases, the opening of the pilot valve increases, causing the pressure on the surface of the main valve diaphragm to decrease and the opening of the main valve to increase.
2、 When the pressure relief valve is adjusted to a pressure relief valve: when the upstream pressure of the main valve is lower than the set value of the pilot valve 12, the pilot valve closes, and the upstream pressure is transmitted to the diaphragm through the needle valve, keeping the main valve closed; When the upstream pressure suddenly rises above the set value of the pilot valve, the pilot valve opens and discharges the pressure water on the upper part of the diaphragm, causing the main valve to quickly open and release a large amount of water to reduce pressure until the set value of the pilot valve is below, and then slowly closes without generating secondary water hammer.
3、 The factory set pressure value of the pressure relief valve pilot valve is not suitable for on-site requirements. The following adjustments can be made: first loosen the locking nut under the pilot valve handwheel, then turn the pilot valve handwheel clockwise to increase pressure, and vice versa to decrease pressure. After adjustment, lock the locking nut.

How to debug and install a pressure relief valve? Operational steps

1. The main valve should be installed horizontally and aligned with the water flow arrow on the surface of the valve body;
2. Applicable medium temperature: 0-80 degrees;
3. If the factory pressure value of the pilot valve is not suitable for on-site requirements, the following adjustments can be made: first loosen the locking nut under the pilot valve handwheel, then turn the pilot valve handwheel clockwise to increase pressure, and vice versa to decrease pressure. After adjustment, lock the locking nut;
4. Before passing water to the pressure relief valve, the pipeline system must be thoroughly flushed, and a filter and pressure gauge must be installed in front of the main valve body;
5. After turning the needle valve handwheel clockwise, rotate it counterclockwise by 1/4 turn to 1/2 turn.

6. The pressure gauge can also be directly installed on our factory's pressure relief valve for more efficient and convenient use.
